    WE OFFER:  

    • Compensation: $ 25.25/hr Fixed Rate  
    • Work Environment: Remote within the state of Washington

    • Work Schedule:  Typically, 8 AM - 5 PM CST, flexibility available

    Job Description

    Job Description  

    As Leave Specialist  at Dungarvin, you'll be the go-to expert for employees and leaders navigating leaves of absence, accommodations, and workers' compensation. Every case you manage will be handled with care, precision, and compliance, ensuring a positive experience for employees while keeping the organization protected. Reporting to the Sr. Leave Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping HR processes, supporting employee well-being, and guiding leaders through complex situations; all while making a meaningful impact on the people and the organization you serve. 

    What You Get To Do:  

    • Manage all employee leaves of absence in compliance with federal and state regulations, including FMLA  
    • Serve as a key resource for employees and managers on leave, accommodations, and related processes 
    • Assist employees with completing required leave paperwork, including explaining benefits and PTO usage 
    • Coordinate and communicate return-to-work information and notifications 
    • Maintain accurate leave, accommodation, and workers' compensation documentation and tracking 
    • Manage workers' compensation claims and support early return-to-work efforts 
    • Support OSHA compliance, including bloodborne pathogen exposure and incident tracking 

    Qualifications

    MUST HAVE:  

    • HR Experience: 2+ years of human resources experience, with a strong understanding of state and federal employment laws, leave management, and workers' compensation processes. 
    • HRIS Expertise: Experience with HR or leave management platforms: UKG Pro, Workday, or People Assist to manage HR processes efficiently. 
    • Technical Proficiency: Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint), as well as Microsoft Teams and SharePoint, to support reporting, analysis, collaboration, and communication needs. 

    NICE TO HAVE:  

    • Education: Bachelor's degree related to Human Resources (or equivalent combination of education and experience). 
    • Professional Certification: PHR, SHRM-CP, or CHRS (Certified Human Resources Specialist). 
    • Multi-State HR Experience: Experience in multi-state HR operations or human services environments. 
    • Specialized Training: Completion of specialized certification or formal training in FMLA, leave administration, or related HR compliance areas is a strong plus.

    • Emotional Intelligence & Professionalism: Maintains a calm, productive approach in complex or emotionally charged situations. 
    • Time Management & Organization: Highly organized and proactive, able to prioritize multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and manage competing priorities without letting anything slip through the cracks. 
    • Accountability & Direct Issue Resolution: Takes ownership from start to finish, following through on commitments and addressing challenges head-on to move situations forward efficiently. 
    • Collaboration & Teamwork: Work effectively with HR colleagues, risk management, supervisors, and employees to ensure seamless HR operations.
