Dungarvin is hosting a Virtual Hiring Event for experienced Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) interested in joining our Santa Rosa Day Program.

**If you have experience supporting adults with intellectual or developmental disabilities and are looking for a consistent weekday schedule where you can make a real impact, we want to talk to you.**  

Phone Interviews:  Thursday, October 8th and Thursday, October 15th Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m.-3:00 p.m. | 32.5 hours per week | benefits eligible  Pay: $23.50/hour Location:  Santa Rosa, CA

How the Virtual Hiring Event Works:

Qualified candidates will receive a link to schedule a 15-20 minute phone interview on October 8 or October 15.

What We Offer:

• Hourly Rate: $23.50/hour
• Full Range Scale: $23.50 - $26.20 per hour. The starting rate for this position is fixed at $23.50 per hour. Pay increases occur over time and are tied to tenure/length of employment with Dungarvin.

Job Description

Why This Role is Different:

Our Santa Rosa Day Program is an active group environment where DSPs spend their day teaching, mentoring, engaging, and supporting adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.  

What You'll Actually Do: 

• Lead life-skills activities
• Teach and reinforce skills that promote independence
• Support community outings and volunteer activities
• Provide personal care, including restroom, hygiene, eating, and mobility support
• Provide behavioral support and use trained de-escalation techniques
• Support individuals with verbal and nonverbal communication needs
• Follow individualized support and behavior plans
• Drive company vehicles for outings and community activities
• Complete accurate electronic documentation
• Prepare, clean, and reset program areas
• Work closely with your team in a busy and active environment 

Qualifications

To be considered for this position, you must have:  

• At least 6 months of professional experience supporting adults with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities
• Experience providing direct support, personal care, behavioral support, or skill developmen
• Must be 21 years or older
• High school diploma or GED
• Valid driver's license and ability to drive a company van
• Ability to lift and transfer up to 50 pounds
• Strong communication and basic computer skills
• Dependable, adaptable, engaged, and comfortable taking initiative
• Coaching, mentoring, and teaching experience is a huge plus.  

Relevant experience may include work as a Direct Support Professional, Behavior Technician, RBT, Residential Counselor, Community Support Worker, Job Coach, Respite Provider, or another direct-support role working with adults with I/DD.
