    Job Description

    • Provide direct support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, including those with potential behavioral support needs.
    • Assist with activities of daily living, household cleaning, meal preparation, shopping, budgeting, personal goals, appointments, community activities, and engagement.
    • Maintain a clean, safe, and supportive living environment.
    • Promote independence, personal choice, and life skills development.
    • Support individuals in achieving goals and objectives outlined in their Individual Service Plans (ISPs) and document progress accordingly.
    • Observe and communicate changes, concerns, and progress to supervisors and team members.
    • Transport individuals to appointments, activities, and community outings as needed.
    • Complete accurate and timely electronic documentation in accordance with program and regulatory requirements.

    Qualifications

    Required (Must-Have) 

    • Minimum of 18 years of age 
    • Valid driver's license and proof of auto insurance 
    • Basic computer skills for documentation and communication 
    • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English 
    • Willingness to assist individuals with personal cares and activities of daily living (ADLs) 

    Physical Requirements 

    • Ability to stand, walk, bend, or squat for extended periods 
    • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs 

    Skills & Abilities 

    • Experience, training, or transferable skills that support success in a direct support role 
    • Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills 
    • Genuine interest in supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities 
    • Ability to promote independence, community engagement, and person-centered supports
