The Program Director is responsible for coordinating and managing the overall assigned program and achieving quality outcomes for individuals with developmental disabilities! The primary areas of responsibility for this position include but are not limited to:

  • Personnel management and program coordination
  • Hiring the highest quality of staff
  • Assuring they complete orientation and ongoing training
  • Monitoring all aspects of the program including
  • Developing individual goals and plans 


The Program Director is also responsible for assuring coordination and management of the overall operations, medical, financial and maintenance aspects of the residential homes!


Program Directors should:

  • Be a role model for Dungarvin employees, by virtue of the manner in which they work with individuals with disabilities and their community support teams.
  • Proactively identify issues and constructively work to solve problems.
  • Work collaboratively with people inside and outside of the organization in the provision of support services


Bachelor’s degree in a human services field of study preferred. A minimum of one-year full time, paid, direct experience working with participants with developmental disabilities or intellectual disabilities. Valid driver's license, auto insurance, and a clean driving record are required.

Successful candidate will:

  • Be experienced in providing person-centered supports to people who experience developmental disabilities and autism.
  • Have supervisory experience.
  • Have prior experience in developing and implementing ISPs, budget implementation and in supervising others.
  • Have good decision-making, time-management and communication skills.

Possess strength in administration, finance, DD programs, leadership, communication, and teamwork.
