  • Assess each individual's healthcare needs initially upon admission and throughout placement to ensure they are identified and met.
  • Ensure that medical care and documentation meet state regulatory standards and organizational policy.
  • Cooperate with the Directors, Program Directors, Residential Coordinators and Program Counselors in coordinating efforts, services and knowledge to maximize the benefit to individuals.
  • Ensure that all program staff receive ongoing information, mentoring and guidance in providing for the healthcare needs of individuals.
  • Provide coordination and direction in implementing the concepts set forth in the organizational philosophy, policies and procedures, especially with individual healthcare.
  • Represent the organization in a positive, professional and responsible manner to staff, guardians, other healthcare professionals, case managers and team members.

The Nurse must hold the minimum requirement to practice nursing in the state of New Mexico. The individual must be skilled, flexible, self-motivated, dependable and able to work cooperatively with staff, interdisciplinary team members and outside agencies. Experience working with persons with developmental disabilities is preferred. Must have RN or LPN.
