Dungarvin is seeking an energetic, organized, career-minded Human Resources Generalist to join our team in our South Bend, IN office. The HR Generalist is responsible for day-to-day operations of the Human Resources Department. This position works closely with other HR team members and operational leadership to meet the needs of employees, management, and the Company.

  • Maintain a thorough knowledge and understanding of Company policies and procedures to efficiently complete all other job duties.
  • Establish, organize, and supervise the maintenance of department records, ensuring complete accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Provide support to employees and management in various HR related topics such as leave of absences, compensation and performance management.
  • Tracking and administration of leave of absences, benefits-related task.
  • Working knowledge of unemployment, workers compensation, and FMLA laws.
  • Understanding of employee compliance requirements in a regulated industry.
  • Preparing and distributing routine and special reports to management in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Be able to supervise a small team of HR professionals.


  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Must be self-motivated and able to work productively independently and with a team.
  • Ability to complete tasks related in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Current auto liability insurance.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Possess a valid driver's license.
  • Acceptable driving/criminal record.
  • Bachelor's degree and three (3) years of general human resources experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
