Special Note:

The Special Projects Accountant will assist the Corporate Controller by managing various accounting projects and taking a lead role with acquisitions. This position will analyze accounting processes, recommend and implement improvements through the use of technology and/or best practices.

  • Manage all aspects of mergers and acquisitions for the accounting department.
  • Understand how Dungarvin Accounting utilizes data and make recommendations for process improvements.
  • Effectively manage day-to-day operational aspects of assigned projects and their scope.
  • Effectively manage day-to-day project stakeholder interaction
  • Effectively coordinate and delegate assignments to project team members.
  • Effectively manage all project expenses.
  • Maintain and manage all project-related communication.
  • Promote positive teamwork and communications with Dungarvin employees, program management and all end users.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or any related field coupled up with Eight years accounting experience (or an equivalent combination of education and experience)
  • Experience managing projects
  • Advanced skills in MS Word, Outlook and Excel
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and financial/accounting software (preferably Microsoft Dynamics - GP).
  • Must possess a budgeting/forecasting/reporting background.

Preferred:

  • Accredited project management professional e.g. PMI, APM etc. and/or accredited business analysis professional e.g. IIBA
  • Experience with mergers and acquisitions
  • Prior experience with budgeting and forecasting software (Currently on Planful)

  • Possess the ability to work with all levels of management and foster relationships with financial. Proven ability to effectively communicate at all levels of the organization, including clear communication of technical concepts to non-technical users

Controller

HOURS WORKED

40 hours per week. 

Monday- Friday 8:00AM- 5:00PM (FLEX).
