Special Note:

This position provides quality behavioral services for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Services are provided in accordance with Dungarvin policies and procedures; state, federal; and BCBA guidelines and all applicable contractual obligations.


  • Conducting assessments.
  • Developing Behavior Support Plans.
  • Evaluating the effectiveness of Behavior Support Plans.
  • Providing direct clinical services, as well as supervising behavioral staff.

The Behavior Specialist Manager (BSM) is responsible for developing Behavioral Support Plans (BSP) for individuals supported in our day program. The BSM will assess an individual and develop a complete plan that outlines support strategies to address specific target behaviors as identified in the assessment process. The BSM will be responsible for training the Direct Support staff and the identified Program Director (PD) on all aspects of the Behavioral Support Plan. The BSM will also be responsible for providing ongoing consultation and assistance to the Interdisciplinary Team (IDT) for the purpose of updating the plan in response to the changing behavioral needs of the person served.

This position requires the use of computer software applications. Required software applications for this position include, but are not limited to, Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Therap, Ultimate's, UltiPro HRIS and the KRONOS timekeeping system.


  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must possess a driving record that is acceptable by the agency's insurance company.
  • Must possess driver's license issued from state of residency.
  • Must have valid liability insurance on personal vehicle that may be  used in emergencies while at work.
  • Must be able to pass rigorous criminal background check and abuse registry checks.
  • A commitment to serving individuals with severely challenging behaviors in the community setting is essential.
  • Experience in positive behavior support and/or applied behavior analysis.
  • Meet at least one of the following:
    • Board Certified Behavior Analyst – Doctoral (BCBA-D)
    • Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
    • Master's degree and completion of requisite coursework from a BACB-approved course sequence program or Clinician holding NADD clinical certification
