Dungarvin is hiring an ASSISTANT PROGRAM DIRECTOR to support people with developmental disabilities in our Adult Day Program in Santa Rosa, California. We are currently searching for an Assistant Program Director to assist with the oversight of the daily operations of an Adult Day Program in Santa Rosa, California. This program provides supports to individuals with developmental disabilities, as well as challenges with medical supports, behavioral supports and community integration. The Assistant Program Director will assist the Program Director in directing a team of skilled Direct Support Professionals (DSP), providing resource supports and community outreach opportunities to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Responsibilities of the Asisstant Program Director include, but are not limited to, developing and monitoring quality services to the people we serve; ensuring customer satisfaction; recruitment, training and supervision of staff; development of ISPs; coordination of areas relating to the behavior interventions; coordinating the services of consultants; facility management; budget compliance; financials; payroll; scheduling; effective work with families, outside agencies and the community; and fleet management and oversight.

Position:
Full-time, hourly position at $17.33 to start, requiring schedule flexibility to accommodate various program, individual and staff needs.

REQUIREMENTS:
We expect our employees to embrace and adhere to the mission of respecting and responding to the choices of people in need of supports. The Assistant Program Director must be a qualified intellectual disabilities professional based on education, experience and abilities.

Additionally, the candidate must have B.A. or equivalent expertise in the field with two years of experience in a human services delivery system, including at least one year in a management or supervisory position and two years of experience or training in one of the following:

  • Care and supervision of individuals served in a licensed adult day program or an adult day healthcare facility.
  • Care and supervision of one or more of the categories of persons to be served by the day program.

Experience with assisting in the development and implementing individual programs, budget implementation and supervising others is required. Must have good decision-making, time management and communication skills, and be responsible, mature and flexible. The desired candidate brings:

  • A strong knowledge of the role of the interdisciplinary team and the individual program plan (IPP) process.
  • A strong knowledge of the California developmental services delivery system.
  • Strength in communication, administration, finance, I/DD program management in a fast paced environment, communication and teamwork.

PRE-EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS:

  • Current, valid driver's license and an acceptable driving history (driver's license check is paid for by Dungarvin) with the ability to get a California license within 30 days of starting employment.
  • Fingerprint clearance by the US Department of Justice (DOJ) and Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) (paid for by Dungarvin).
  • Physician's clearance, TB test clearance and drug screening (paid for by Dungarvin).
  • Three professional references (non-family).
