Vocational Support Provider
Provide community-based and employment-related supports to people with developmental disabilities

Starting Rate of $11.20/hour
Special Note: Primary duties include acting as a Caregiver to the individuals we support – providing assistance in the residential, group home or day program setting. Responsibilities also include acting as a Job Coach and assisting with work skills..

Our Vocational Support Provider team members provide community-based and employment-related supports to people with developmental disabilities primarily from our Day Supports Program in Somerset, NJ.

Our vocational supports include assisting individuals in work skills, making choices, personal hygiene, worksite safety and communication skills. Vocational Support Providers also work with other team members in developing, implementing, and evaluating the outcomes of workday supports in addition to other administrative tasks.

The ideal candidate must:

  • Be at least 18 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or GED certificate.
  • Possess a driver's license issued from state of residency.
  • Have a driving record that is acceptable by the agency's insurance company.
  • Have valid liability insurance on personal vehicle that may be used in emergencies while at work.
  • Be able to pass rigorous criminal background check and abuse registry checks.

The following education, experience, and/or certifications would be an asset, but are not required:

  • Some education, training and/or experience in providing vocational supports to people with developmental disabilities, or in a related human service area.
