Human Resources Specialist

Special Note:

The HR Specialist is an integral and vital part of the Human Resources department, providing support and assistance to multiple aspects of Dungarvin's HR processes. Responsibilities of the HR Specialist include, but are not limited to:

  • Maintaining and disseminating personnel information using the human resources/payroll information system.
  • Assisting the payroll department with processing accurate and timely payroll each pay period.
  • Establishing and maintaining files within the Human Resources department in an organized and secure fashion.
  • Administering group benefit programs, including insurance and 401(k).
  • Effectively assisting in managing workers' compensation claims.
  • Ensuring clear and effective communication with Dungarvin supervisors and employees as required.
  • Utilizing uniform Dungarvin human resources policies.
  • Monitoring wage and payroll information to confirm accuracy.
  • Effectively administering unemployment compensation under the direction of the HR Employment Supervisor.
  • Assisting with the administration of leaves of absences in accordance with company policy.
  • Monitoring status of conditions of employment.
  • Promoting positive teamwork and communications with Dungarvin employees, operations management and NCO human resources department.


  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Bachelor's degree or four (4) years of general human resources experience.
  • Must have auto liability insurance.
  • Possess reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
  • Have a satisfactory driving and criminal background history.
  • Ability to utilize and navigate HRIS to complete a variety of tasks.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient computer and data entry skills.
